I very much liked your article “Timbuktu For The Timid”, especially the part about Aicha. I cried after reading it. May “Allah”(or whoever) be willing for you and her to share the next several years of your lives together. I bet you’ll both be better for it! It would be nice if you kept me posted.

I enjoyed “Timbuktu”–and then visiting your website to see if I could figure out who would survive heat, mouse turds, dust, charging bulls, bugs, and right-handed eating. A glorious woman, I suspect…and one with a sense of humor and the ability to love an orphaned child. Thank you for the experience.
